It was a string of 11 consecutive games on the road for the Humboldt Midget AA Broncos to start the season. They finally had their home opener on Wednesday, November 21st when they hosted the Beardy's Blackhawks.

It took until the second period for the game to find its opening goal, as the Blackhawks would strike first off the stick of Tyson Starblanket, assisted by Tiarnan Higgs and Linden Bird.

The Broncos would tie things up in the third period when Austen Berezowski found the back of the net, assisted by Kaiden Korolchuk.

The 1-1 game would need overtime, that's when Berezowski would score his second of the game, assisted once again by Korolchuck to lift the Broncos to a 2-1 home victory.

The Broncos are back on the road for their next game when they travel to Beardy to take on the Blackhawks again.
