The Jr Girls Basketball District Champion has been crowned.

The girls From Middle Lake's Three Lakes School have won the Horizon Central District Championship after defeating St. Brieux 61-43 on Wednesday, March 13th

"The game was fantastic, both teams played hard and were determined to win. My girls had an excellent season all year. They had dedication, hard work, and perseverance, and that's what you need to make it to the finals," said Head Coach Lisa Parsons.

The team had four Grade 9 students who are moving on and will be aged out of the Junior category and into Senior ball.

"Big celebration, it was awesome, the four grade nines were very happy to end it with the championship win."

Middle lake prevented a clean sweep for St. Brieux, who had won the boys districts earlier this week.
