The Humboldt Broncos are the most unsatisfied team in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League right now.

After their third straight win Wednesday, second year forward Daniel McKitrick stated exactly that. He said the team is "hungry" and "isn't satisfied."

On Friday night at the Elgar Petersen Arena the 19 year-old Cole Harbor, Nunavut product backed up his words scoring the overtime winner in a 2-1 edging of Nipawin.

The victory improves the Broncos' record to 4-0 on the year.

Assistant Coach Brayden Klimosko was once again appreciative of his team's effort.

"It was a very hard fought game here tonight for both teams. Nipawin gave us all they had tonight, it was a battle both ways. For a game in September it was pretty intense at times, overall it was a pretty good game."

Humboldt opened the scoring very late in the first period, with just 5.7 seconds left on the clock the Broncos lost an offensive zone face-off but great puck pursuit allowed Antonio DiPoalo to race off the blue line and steal it in the corner before centering it to Parker Wakaruk who one-timed his first SJHL goal past Kristian Stead making it 1-0 with 1.5 seconds on the clock.

The Hawks controlled most of the second period and Michael Grant tied the game beating Carter Seminuk while short-handed just past the five minute mark.

Nobody could score in the third but just 47 seconds into the fourth period, which is now three-on-three play McKitrick picked the pocket of Boedy Donald on the Broncos' blue line and sped away for a clear cut break that he buried for his fourth of the year and the win.

"If there is one person with the puck on his stick at that time we definitely want it to be Danny," Klimosko added on the post-game show. "He buries a nice goal, he played a heck of a game, the whole game he deserved a goal. Hard work pays off, he was good tonight, he really was."

The goal was McKitrick's second straight game winner.

Seminuk stopped 21/22 for his first win in his first contest, Stead kicked aside 22/24 in the loss.

The power-plays were kept in check which was a change, each team took four minors, Humboldt scored once on the man advantage, the Hawks did not.

The Broncos now prepare for two games at the Showcase in Warman. They face Melville Sunday at 1:30; then Estevan and Humboldt meet Monday at 11am.
