The Long Lake Hockey League is in the midst of their playoffs but they did take time to acknowledge some individual success from the regular campaign.

This year's most valuable player is Lanigan Pirates netminder David Reekie, the Saskatoon product played in 19 games for 1113 minutes. He allowed 50 goals against which equaled a GAA of 2.69, he also posted two shut-outs.

The runner-up was Davidson Cyclone's forward and former Humboldt Bronco Tory Allan. in 18 games he compiled 50 points, 26 of them goals. That was third in league scoring.

Chad Suer, the former Moose Jaw Warrior was awarded the top defenceman award for his play with the Rosetown Red Wings. Another former Bronco, Brady Wacker was the runner-up.

Torrie Dyck, also of the Pirates took home the most gentlemanly player trophy. Drake's Logan Mortenson was the second place finisher.

Finally the coach of the year went to Lanigan's Perry Herr, LeRoy's Dave Moore was the runner-up.

The LLHL semi-finals await, the Watrous Winterhawks will face the Pirates, Rosetown meets LeRoy in the other best of five series.

According to the league's website, no dates have been finalized.
