Tiana Hauser, the coach for the Lake Lenore Senior Boys' Basketball team, says she's pleased with the effort the boys have been putting in this year.

"We've had a good season. We've had three losses and thirteen wins so far," says Hauser. The boys are doing so well, that Hauser says her team has had the chance to compete with teams beyond the district and have been able to find more competition that way. She says that "it's nice to see the whole province."

Teams from Humboldt, Canora, Balcarres, Rocanville, Stoughton, Gladmar, and Buffalo Narrows were invited to the Invitational Tournament and to join the host team from Lake Lenore. However, only six teams made it to the tournament this year, due to the harsh weather conditions that have recently affected the area.

Because of the number of teams competing, Hauser says there is a round robin this year, so all the teams get to see each other. There aren't elimination rounds, as there would be when there is a larger draw.

The final game starts at 7 pm Saturday evening.
