The Humboldt Broncos have stayed local with their hiring of a new athletic therapist.

23 year-old Lake Lenore graduate Dayna Brons will join the team this season.

She said being around hockey and sports is something she always enjoyed which helped her follow this path.

"I grew up playing different sports, I really loved to play the game and I just loved being active so it was suggested to me to be an athletic therapist."

Brons has been working in Saskatoon for the junior S.W.A.T lacrosse team with former Therapist Neal Demmans. She admits it didn't take much convincing for her to take the position.

"No not at all, I have grown up watching the team and I've got a place to stay there so no problem at all for me to come back home."

Brons studied at the University of Regina, she will join the club just ahead of training camp which begins September 1st.

You can hear more from Brons below in her interview with Bolt FM's Clark Stork.
