The Lake Lenore Lancers high school cross country team claimed their fourth consecutive provincial championship in Saskatoon on Saturday.

While races are individual, if a school has four or more runners, they qualify for the team point total, which is based on those individual race results.

The Lancers scored a low of 40 points in the 1A classification, ahead of Strasbourg, who came in second with 75 points, and Middle Lake took home a third place standing with 113 points.

Wynyard also claimed a provincial title, as they won the gold medal with 116 points in the 2A classification.

Horizon Central placed in the top three in four of the six race categories, finishing third in Midget Boys and Senior Girls, while claiming second in Junior Boys and Junior Girls.

Individually, Strasbourg's Brayden Mytopher was the lone medal recipient among HCAA participants, as he took home the silver medal in the Junior Boys race.
