Community Club member, Deanna Rauert, says she can't remember a curling season without a Ladies Bonspiel. A member of the St. Gregor community for over 30 years, Rauert says that weather conditions play a big part in the day's success for curlers.

"We are probably one of the last natural ice curling rinks (in the area), so it's always very interesting when you curl here; you never know what's going to happen out here!" Rauert says the day's -25 C made for good conditions on the ice on Friday and Saturday at this year's Ladies Bonspiel.

The St. Gregor Curling Club was host to six teams this year, and the $100 entry fee included 3 guaranteed games, a supper, a guaranteed prize and a fruit, muffin, and coffee break.

Rauert says the club is looking forward to their Fun Spiel next weekend.

The ladies' final draw will take place at 4 pm on Saturday. Results to follow.
