It was a tough loss for the Humboldt Broncos as they gave up a three-goal lead to the Klippers and fell 4-3

The Broncos started off on the right hoof, pouring in the offence early. Michael Clarke opened up the scoring to give the Broncos a 1-0 lead assisted by Owen Guenter. The Broncos would get a 5 on 3 powerplay midway through the opening frame and capitalize twice. Drew Warkentine scored his 21st on the season assisted by Brayden Camrud and Michael Clarke. Then just 33 seconds later, Zach McIntyre scored to put the Broncos up 3-0 assisted by Bryson Cecconi and Chase Felgueiras. The Klippers found their first goal of the game with under a minute to play in the first period to grab a bit of momentum heading into the intermission.

The second period provided no scoring as the Broncos took a 3-1 lead into the third period.

In the third, the Klippers continued their comeback. Tyler Traptow scored his first of two goals on the night five minutes in, and Devin Cyr scored just under three minutes later to tie the game at three apiece. Then with just over three minutes remaining in the game, Traptow tipped in the eventual 4-3 game-winner. The Broncos had a powerplay and a final push down the stretch but were unable to solve Klipper's goalie Justin Close.

With the loss, the Broncos sit three points back of Kindersley with two games remaining.

The first of the final two games of the season is on the road on Friday, March 1st, once again against the Kindersley Klippers.
