Graduating Broncos forward Luke Kempf has committed to Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary.

The Sherwood Park, Alberta product played in 52 games this season with the Broncos picking up eight goals and 26 points plus a Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League leading 164 penalty minutes.

He said they have been in talks for awhile to finalize his commitment.

"I was in contact with the coach near the end of the year and we just kept in contact. I went down for a visit last weekend and I just felt like it was the place for me. The coach seems like a really good guy."

"The campus is awesome, the hockey program and the schooling is top notch so I'm excited," he added.

Kempf was acquired from his hometown Crusaders last summer for his one and only year with the green and gold. He was awarded the Coach's Award by GM/HC Darcy Haugan during their annual awards banquet.

Kempf is the fifth Bronco to sign up for post secondary education and hockey programs this off season. Kempf plans to study geo-matic engineering.
