There will be some more local flavour in Kindersley in February as the best of Saskatchewan's men's curling teams battle for a chance to represent the province at the Brier.

Already qualifying for the February 3rd-7th event is St. Gregor's Kirk and Dallen Muyres, they will be there with Steven Laycock as the back to back provincial champions but now Humboldt product Dustin Kalthoff will be in the field.

Kalthoff, along with Jason Jacobson, Carl deConinck Smith and Rory Golanowski were victorious at a Saskatchewan Tour event this past weekend in Saskatoon punching their ticket to the provincial championship.

They are coached by Dustin's father and Humboldt Curling Club ice maker Kevin Kalthoff.

The Humboldt Curling Club has also handed out their November lottery winnings.

The winner for the month is Glen Taphorn(pictured above).

Call the club at 682-2135 if you want more information on their monthly lottery fundraiser.
