The Horizon Central Athletic Association had a good showing from their lone representative at high school curling provincials in Moose Jaw.

Ituna's girls team finished fourth overall at the championships, losing in the bronze medal game to Carnduff.

They started off the tournament by defeating Saskatoon St. Joe's 9-5 before falling 8-7 to Esterhazy. To clinch a playoff spot, Ituna knocked off Regina Campbell 8-6.

In the semi-final, they lost to the eventual provincial champions from Saskatoon Holy Cross 9-6.

The fourth place finish was an improvement over last year for the school, where they went 1-2 at provincials and missed the playoffs.

One other local team made the trip to Moose Jaw, as the Colonsay mixed team participated in provincials.

They went 1-2 in the round robin, defeating Yorkton Sacred Heart, while losing to Rosetown and Regina Johnson. Only the top two teams in each pool made the playoffs.
