Game 4 blew the roof of the EPA as the Broncos protected home ice, and now have the 3-1 series lead stranglehold on the Estevan Bruins.

Four straight goals in the first period unleashed the crowd still bouncing from the previous night’s victory. Drew Warkentine, Michael Clarke, Reid Arnold and Logan Foster lit the lamp in the first period and the Broncos took a 4-0 lead into the first intermission.

In the second, Estevan’s defenceman Johnny Witzke cut the lead to three. Just three minutes later, Brayden Camrud scored his first of three on the night to restore the four-goal cushion.

The third period rolled in and the Broncos stretched the lead to five after Derek Patter’s first of the playoffs. The Bruins looked to be down and out, but two short-handed goals by Michael McChesney, followed by Ryder Pierson’s talley had the Bruins back within two.

Cue Brayden Camrud. A highlight reel goal, followed by a late power play marker by the Broncos assistant captain sent the hats raining down in the EPA and a 8-4 victory celebrated by the fans at the end of the night.

The Broncos look to eliminate the Bruins on the road for Game 5 on Friday, March 22nd, and march right Into the second round.
