With the golfing season well into the swing of things, the Humboldt Golf Club held its first scramble of the season on Saturday.

Simply dubbed the 'Opening Scramble', the foursome of Aaron Baker, Mike Herperger, Alex Schenn and Drew Dale finished in first with a score of 13-under.

Tied for second were the teams of Robert and Tyler LaBuick, Mike Anglestad and Ken Campbell as well as Cody Wourms, Merit Meyer, Jackson Hill, Justin Jenkins and Brett Blakely.

Both teams had a score of 10-under.

Individually, closest to the hole was Gwen Boey for the ladies and Derek Chandler for the men. The longest putt was made by Trish Martynook on the women's side, and Todd Gjevre for the men. Jackie Hill had the closest shot to the line for women, with Ryan Perkins achieving the feat for the men.

In total, 67 golfers participated in the first scramble of the year. Next up for the HGC is the annual Father's Day championship, which will be held June 18-19.
