19 Men's teams will compete for prize money this weekend at the Humboldt Curling Club.

The Curl Sask Men's Tour Bonspiel will take place this weekend in Humboldt, with tour points also on the line for a shot at Provincials in January.

Kevin Kahltoff is the Head Ice technician for the Humboldt Curling Club.

He talks about the prize money that could be won.

"They're playing for $10,000, so we're not sure exactly what 1st prize is, the tour determines all of the prize money so we'll find out when they come here and do that. They have the draw all set up here at the rink, so anybody that wants to come down and see who all the teams are, they sure can come down."

Kahltoff says this is an important bonspiel for Humboldt to host.

"We feel very honoured to hold this every year. We've been lucky, we've probably had this about 10 years in a row now. They don't give it to every town or city around, so we feel that we're quite lucky holding this all the time."

Kahltoff explains it won't cost much to get in the door.

"We're just taking a silver collection. That's all we're going to do, so anybody that wants to come in, just drop a few bucks down. All the money that we bring in is going to our Youth Bonspiel that we're holding in January, so hopefully we'll make it a real nice event for the Juniors."
