Two similar tragedies will forever tie together two hockey clubs that bare the same name. The connection and tribute to everyone involved will now be crested on what will serve as the Humboldt Broncos third jerseys.

In 1986 the bus carrying the Swift Current Broncos crashed, killing four of its players. This was mirrored in April of 2018 when 16 players and personnel of the Humboldt Broncos passed away when their team bus collided with a semi-trailer.

The jersey, in honour of both tragedies, was created by former Swift Current Bronco Tayor Vause who stated on his twitter page "The jerseys are meant to honour the 4 Swift Current Broncos that passed away in 1986, and the 16 Humboldt Broncos lost in last years bus crash. I hope these jerseys represent all those affected with the respect they deserve."

The jersey features a crest that takes a pair of Broncos on either side of the Saskatchewan province, with stars marking the two cities. The name Broncos being shared on either side by the cities of Humboldt and Swift Current. On one shoulder, a four leaf clover with the numbers of the players that passed away in 1986. On the other, the Humboldt Broncos memorial green and yellow ribbon, and at the top of the crest is the Latin motto "Celer et Audax," meaning Swift and Bold.

The Swift Current Broncos were the first to dawn the jersey. They wore it during Broncos strong night back on November 2nd. The Humboldt Broncos will now get a chance to pull the jersey over their shoulder pads when they resume their season following the holiday break on January 2nd against the Notre Dame Hounds at the Elgar Petersen Arena.
