Humboldt Broncos' Head Coach Scott Barney will have a new coaching partner when the puck drops on the 2019/20 season.

The Humboldt Broncos are currently in their search for a new assistant coach following Troy Smith's departure from the team.

Smith took over for Scott Barney as the assistant coach midway through the season, after Barney jumped up to replace Nathan Oystrick as Head Coach. Smith, the former Kitchener Rangers and Saginaw Spirit Head Coach has since left to seek other coaching opportunities.

Scott Barney had the 'Interm' title removed from the head coaching role after signing a new three-year contract with the Broncos. One of his first tasks as the official bench boss will be to find Smith's replacement.
