The Humboldt Broncos avoid the survivor series with a hard-fought 3-1 win over the Kindersley Klippers to snap a three-game losing streak.

The Broncos jumped out to the early 1-0 lead in the first period off a nifty backhand move by Mitch Zambon, assisted by Zach McIntyre and Riker Franczak.

They then doubled their lead in the second period. Drew Warkentine picked up his 22nd of the year assisted by Michael Clarke and Owen Guenter on the powerplay. Kindersley cut the lead in half before the period expired and a one-goal game was carried over into the third.

In the third, it was once again Drew Warkentine who restored the two-goal lead, assisted by Chase Felgueiras on a beautiful end to end pass to spring a breakaway.

Rayce Ramsay was brilliant throughout, stopping 41 of 42 shots faced.

The Broncos have one game remaining in the regular season on Saturday, March 2nd against the Battlefords North Stars.
