It was a good finish to the high school golf season for HCI's Carson Horachek.

Taking part in the provincial championship in Estevan, Horachek ended his first day of competition with a 77, which put him in third place overall.

Day two saw Horachek shoot an 81, which gave him a 10th place finish at the tournament, three strokes out of third, and ten shots back of the leader.

In the girls field, Morgan Atamanchuk, also from HCI, placed 24th overall, and was the top local golfer competing in the girls tournament, ahead of Jessie Froehlich from Wynyard.

Other locals who were at provincials included Wynyard's Rylan Sokul (22nd), Kyle Tarry (36th), Carson Froehlich (45th), and Carson Fisher (54th), as well as Devdan Chegus from Watson, who placed in a tie for 36th.

Chegus was the winner of junior districts in the Horizon Central Athletic Association.
