Green outlasted Gold on Saturday night, as the Humboldt Broncos wrapped up their fall training camp with the Elgar Petersen Cup.

The game, which pits the top 40 players from the three-day camp against each other, displayed a taste of what is to come for the on-ice product in Humboldt this season.

Gold got the scoring started early, getting on the board less than two minutes into the game. They added to the lead minutes later when Blake Berschiminsky buried a pass from Jacob Leicht.

Green found the back of the net to make it 2-1 when Cole Young showed off his speed down the left side of the ice, feeding the puck to Graysen Cameron to cut the lead in half.

Kaleb Dahlgren, acquired in the offseason by the Broncos, would make it 2-2 a short time later.

Before the end of the first 30 minute straight time period, defenseman Morgan Gobeil would give Gold the lead once again after a give and go play with Jack Langenhahn.

The second period would be all Green on the scoreboard, as they scored three goals in a short period of time, with Dahlgren earning his second tally of the game.

Josh Sylvain and Alex Morozoff had the other goals for Green.

Prior to the top 40 game, the next crop of potential Broncos showcased their ability in the Young Guns game.

Gold shutout Green 3-0 to take the prospects game.

On Thursday the Broncos announced that forward Chris Van Os-Shaw was traded to the Spruce Grove Saints of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Going back to the Broncos is forward Conner Lukan.

Broncos Head Coach and General Manager will speak more on the trade, as well as camp on Monday.
