Last night's game between the East Central Fillies and the Western Prairie Thunder was a battle for 1st place in the North Division.

The Thunder held the top spot heading into the matchup with a record of 11-1. As for the Fillies, they were just trailing the division-leading Thunder with a record of 10-2.

In the first period, neither team was able to get the puck in the net. In the second period, both offences managed to find their groove as the first goal would come on a power play from the Fillies. Two minutes later, Emma Abrey would bury another goal for the Fillies making it 2-0. The Thunder responded with a goal of their own to wrap up the second.

The Fillies would take over completely in the third period as Jensen Kelly would stop 13-14 on the night and shut out the Thunder in the third. Cassadi Klapak would score the third and final goal for the Fillies as they took the win, 3-1.

Both teams are now tied for first place in the North Division at 11-2 on the season.  The East Central Fillies play again on Tuesday against the North East Aces.
