The puck was dropped on Round 2 of the Saskatchewan Female Midget A Hockey League on February 28th, and the Fillies got the early upper hand with a commanding 9-1 victory over North East.

The first place Filles had a bye in the first round of the playoffs and now are squared off against the fifth-place North East Aces

North East finished 5th in the division throughout the regular season and was able to get through the 4th seed Saskatoon Comet Rush. However, they're going to have their plates full in a tough race against the Fillies.

The FIllies finished the regular season with only two losses in 20 games and picked up right where they left off in Game 1 of the three-game series. They scored two goals in the first period, two in the second period, and five in the third throughout the victory.  It was a complete team effort as 12 of the 14 Fillies players found the scoresheet. Jacelyn Kelly had a hattrick while Allison Binsfeld and Cassadi Klapak each had three points.

Game two of the second round series takes place on Sunday, March 3rd in Star City at 6:30 PM
