Cam Blair had a four goal night as the Drake Canucks put up a nine spot to capture the Long Lake Hockey League championship.

Playing at home in Game 3, the Canucks jumped on the visiting Watrous Winterhawks early, getting out to a 3-0 lead through 20 minutes of play.

The second period saw plenty of offence on both sides, with the Canucks adding four more goals to three for Watrous, taking a 7-3 lead into the second intermission.

In the third period, it was Drake adding two more goals to skate to a 9-5 win and their second LLHL title in four seasons.

Taylor Johnson, Carter Coben, Merit Meyer, Logan Mortenson, and Matt Spafford had the other goals for the Canucks.

The Canucks won Games 1 and 2 by 6-3 and 7-6 margins to oust the defending champions in three games.

Drake now looks to make it a double banner year, as they advanced to the Senior 'C' provincial championship after a two game sweep of Hafford.

Game 1 of the provincial final is in Theodore on Sunday. Drake hosts Game 2 on Friday, March 30, while a deciding third game would be played on April 1.
