There is losing hockey games, and then there is losing in fashions you can't even fathom.

On Tuesday night the Broncos accomplished the latter giving up not one, but two last second goals in periods including the game tying marker with 0.7 seconds left on the clock.

Riley Mohr quickly finished off the stunned Broncos just 1:41 into overtime to complete the Notre Dame Hounds larceny of the extra point in a 4-3 win.

That one stings if you asked Assistant Coach Brayden Klimosko.

"It does, for sure, two points were on the table man. One second away from winning a hockey game that we battled hard through out. It probably wasn't our best effort if you are considering controlling the play or anything but you know you are hoping for that greasy home win and we just come up a little short."

Humboldt got another lead in this game, something has become a bit of the norm over the past handful of games which has transpired to four wins in their last ten contests even after Tuesday's back-breaker.

Laramie Kostelansky snapped his fifth of the year past Darin Fox giving the Broncos a 1-0 lead just 3:40 into the contest, the goal was unassisted.

Notre Dame would respond, Ian Williams put home a rebound off the end wall behind Ryan LaRochelle making it 1-1 at 13:54 but the Broncos would jump out to their second lead of the period.

Andrew McCann beat Fox on a rebound for his second of the year. Logan Schatz and Trevor Posch each picked up points on the 2-1 tally.

Notre Dame started to control the play but LaRochelle stood tall stopping 10 in the first and another 10 in the second, he would save 32/36 overall but the timing was critical.

With the Hounds pressing in the middle period, Daniel McKitrick stepped from behind the net and lifted a backhand over Fox to make it 3-1.

The Broncos were on the verge of going to the dressing room with the two goal cushion but Gage Ramsay beat LaRochelle at 19:56 to make it 3-2.

The Broncos continued to simply try and hang on through the third but after the puck was frozen by LaRochelle with six seconds left Humboldt lost the defensive face-off and somehow Kobe Kindrachuk shoveled a rebound past the Broncos 19 year-old netminder with under a second to go leaving the 450 fans in attendance in absolute disbelief.

Just last Friday night the Nipawin Hawks scored with under a second to play in the first period in Nipawin's 7-5 win. Klimosko says losing like this has become far too frequent.

"How often does that happen where you don't get that extra point at the end of the day? It's something that we know from experience, it's happened to us often in the last couple years. We're going to have to learn how to win those tight games."

The Broncos now must regroup for Saturday's affair with Yorkton. The Terriers are a point up on Humboldt for the final playoff spot after they took the Melfort Mustangs to a shoot-out losing 3-2.

"It's going to be about as big as game as we've had all season," Klimosko continued. "We're going to see a pretty good Yorkton team, they took Melfort to the brink tonight and we're expecting a good game. It should be an intense team, it should be a lot of fun."

Face-off is 7:30 at the Elgar Petersen Arena.

In the one other game in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Tuesday, Kindersley came back and edged LaRonge 5-4 in a shoot-out.
