Saying that this is the biggest week of the Humboldt Broncos' season is an understatement.

Currently three games below .500 and sitting in eighth place the Broncos will meet four teams in six days, all battling for the same positions. It all starts with the Flin Flon Bombers Tuesday night at the Elgar Petersen Arena.

Defenseman Anthony Kapelke admits this is a crucial stretch.

"I would think so for sure, they are all winnable games" the captain said after Tuesday's game day morning skate. "Flin Flon is a good team even though their record may not be quite where they want it to be, I think they are definitely strong. Kindersley, a divisional game that is huge, they are right above us so we need to make some ground on them. Both Yorkton and Melville are very winnable games, these are the games you really need and the points you need when you look down the stretch."

Tuesday's game versus Flin Flon is a 7:30 start, it's another Toonie Tuesday game, anyone 18 and under gets in for $2.

Wednesday's contest in Kindersley can be heard on your radio with KMK Sales Broncos' Hockey starting at 7:15 with the pre-game show. Same thing for Friday's match-up with the Terriers at the Farrel Agencies Arena in Yorkton.

Sunday they return to the EPA to host Melville at 3pm.

"Every point matters and December 1st is another deadline where we look to bring in some guys where some cards get lost but I know for us you want to be playing good hockey going into playoffs, that's the most important thing but you need to get there first and foremost. If we don't get some points here early on it definitely makes the battle a little harder after Christmas."

The Broncos head into Tuesday's contest on a two game slide, they have played 15 games, ranking second in that aspect so they were given the weekend off to prepare for this run.

"We had the weekend off thankfully," Kapelke added. "I think we all needed it, just relax, get away from the rink a bit and just focus on other things other than hockey. We came back Monday obviously, now we are ready to go."
