Riding a three game losing streak and falling in five of their last six contests something had to give for the Humboldt Broncos.

The team announced late Monday night that they have sent Calgary born forward Josh Fletcher and the junior "A" rights to 17 year-old Tyde Hutchison to Kindersley for Cole Young.

Young, is an 18 year-old winger so they don't give up any age as Fletcher is also a 1998 born player.

Associate General Manager Brayden Klimosko feels they are better now than they were a day ago.

"You are just trying to make a move that we think makes us better today than we were a couple days ago. In saying that we're just trying to help us out in some way, some how to get a little more offence. A guy that's going to compete a little harder, push our bottom two lines."

Young has been in the league for a season and a half coming out of Saskatoon. In 23 games this year he has five goals and five assists. Overall, he has dressed in 74 regular season contests collecting 21 points. He has also suited up for nine post season games with the Klippers chipping in with two assists.

"He's a guy when you were watching the Contacts(AAA midget team) and whatever else, he is one of those guys that catches your eye for a lot of different reasons," Klimosko beamed. "He's always in scrums, he plays some hard minutes, I've really enjoyed watching him and I think he will bring something to the table here we need as a hockey club."

He is expected to be in the line-up Wednesday night when the Broncos host the Battlefords Stars at 7:30.

"He seemed very excited, he's excited for the opportunity," Klimosko concluded.

We will have Young on the broadcast that begins at 7:15 live from the Elgar Petersen Arena.
