The Humboldt Broncos fell to the division rival Nortre Dame Hounds 4-2 on Wednesday night.

It took until the second period to see some goalscoring and it didn't go the Broncos way, as penalty troubles ran them into a three goal hole.

Three straight power play goals by Hounds' Jarrett Penner, Cole Stevenson, and Zack Kosteniuk was the scene halfway through the game. Then the Broncos would start pushing back. Drew Warkentine cut the lead to two, and two minutes later Mitch Zambon scored to cut it to one.

After the five goal second period, the third resembled the first. Goalscoring was absent untill 8:32 into the period when Marshall Wilton scored to restore the two-goal lead and secure the 4-2 victory for the Notre Dame Hounds.

Rayce Ramsay made his second consecutive start, stopping 30 of 34. Riley Kohonick stopped 28 of 30 in net for the Hounds win.

This was the 6th of 10 meetings between the Hounds and the Broncos. The season series now sits 4-2 in favour of Humboldt

The Broncos have two games remaining before the holiday break. Both games are against the Melfort Mustangs in a home and home set on December 14th and 15th.
