The Broncos were dealt a similar fate to Friday night's contest in Weyburn, as they visited Estevan on Saturday night.

Not only was it another teddy bear toss night, but the Broncos were on the losing side of a game in which they felt they could have won.

"The last two games we played really hard and played really well. We minimized our mistakes and it seems like there is just not a lot of puck luck right now," said Head Coach Darcy Haugan.

Humboldt hit the scoreboard first when Stephen Wack found a loose puck in front of the net for a power play goal seven minutes in.

Estevan would tie the game with just under three minutes to play in the period, which sent the teddy bears on to the ice.

The Bruins went up 2-1 early in the second period on Arthur Miller's second straight goal. Estevan took a 3-1 lead midway through the period.

Haugan says that after a good start to the period in Estevan's zone, it came back against them.

"In the second period, we had point blank chances and easily could have been up and then they come down and score," he noted. "We're playing hard and going, and then kind of a hometown bounce."

"At the end of the day, we played six really good periods and have given up 10 goals."

Humboldt showed their fight offensively in the final period, scoring just 46 seconds in when Logan Schatz found Jaxon Joseph for a tap-in goal.

Estevan would reply three minutes later on the power play to go back up two goals.

Closing in on the game's final five minutes, Wack scored his second goal of the game, sending a point shot past Maxim Sidelnik to make it a 4-3 game.

The Bruins, again, would score quickly, reinstating the two goal cushion 61 seconds later before adding an empty net goal to make the final score 6-3.

Haugan says that despite the two losses, they continue to see positive things.

"I'm proud of our group. What we need right now is we just need to stick with it," he explained. "I look at how we have limited our turnovers, and I honestly thought that again, we were the better team."

The Broncos record is now 14-9-1-1 through 25 games, which is third in the Olympic Buildings Division behind Battlefords and Notre Dame.

With the most games played in the league, things slow down for the green and gold a little bit.

Melville visits the Elgar Petersen Arena on Wednesday, with the Battlefords North Stars coming to Humboldt on Saturday.

After that, the Broncos have a full week off until Yorkton visits on December 2.
