Lost in the shuffle a little bit last week with the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League draft and the resignation of Assistant Coach Brayden Klimosko was the acquisition of Sam-Jaxon Visscher.

The 18 year-old netminder was another piece from the Whitecourt Wolverines in the Morgan Messenger deal.

The St. Albert product is looking forward to being the number one man in Humboldt.

"It's a huge opportunity to be a starter, I served more of a back-up role last year and got to learn the ropes from a lot of great starters in front of me but now it's my turn to step up and play a lot of games. I couldn't be more excited to be doing this with such a great team."

Visscher started four games for the Nipawin hawks last season posting a goals-against-average of 2.20 and a save-percentage of .930. In eight games in Whitecourt the 1998 born puckstopper had a GAA of 2.39 and a SP of .908. He also got into two post-season games posting a 3.52 GAA and SP of .903.

He added that he had a positive discussion with General Manager Darcy Haugan following the announcement.

"He explained to me that I would be getting a lot of games in and that I'd be the backbone of the team I guess. It made me feel really good and really confident and even that much more excited to get things going and start working with the guys."

The Broncos' season ticket blitz continues, more details on all the savings can be found here.
