It was a successful weekend for Humboldt's Bantam AA Broncos team.

The Broncos hit the highway for a southern road trip with three games in three days.

They began in Regina on Friday night taking on the Monarchs, where Humboldt jumped out to a 4-0 lead through the first period.

The two teams exchanged three goals a piece in the second period before Regina added two more in the third to make the final 7-5 in favour of the Broncos.

Connor McGrath had two goals for Humboldt, with Tyler Lindal, Austin Berezowski, Kaiden Korolchuk, Griffen Helberg, and Noah Barlage contributing the other markers.

Ashton Dagenais recorded the win in goal.

On Saturday, the Broncos traveled to Estevan for an afternoon meeting with the Bruins.

This time, Humboldt fell behind 2-0 before rallying for three straight goals to take a 3-2 lead through two periods.

Estevan tied the game up in the third, and despite the Broncos recording 62 shots on goal, they were unable to force the fourth goal past the Bruins, leading to a tie game.

Korolchuk, Helberg and Easton Ediger had the goals for Humboldt, with Brody Ackland getting the start in goal.

Sunday saw more explosion from the offence as the road trip wrapped up in Weyburn.

Like Friday, the Broncos grabbed a 4-0 lead in the first period before pacing their way to a 9-2 win.

McGrath had two more goals for Humboldt, with Jackson Mark, Dawson Barlage, Kylynn Olafson, Luke Stadnyk, Noah Barlage, Nolan Allan and Korolchuk helping to spread the goal scoring around.

Dagenais picked up his second win of the weekend.

Through 13 games, Humboldt's record is now 8-3-2, which is tied for fifth overall in the North Division.

Their next game is Saturday in Tisdale against the North East Wolfpack. The next home game for Humboldt is December 16 versus Battlefords.
