Baseball diamonds across the City of Humboldt were packed Sunday for "Minor Ball Day."

Three junior rally cap teams started the day at 9 o'clock but by the time the noon hour horn wailed across the city, diamonds from Bill Brecht Park to the Uniplex were full.

The AA Midget Humboldt Dodgers headlined the day with a double-header against the Regina White Sox in Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League action.

The Dodgers hit early and often versus the Queen City bunch putting up 15-4 and 12-2 victories.

The Muenster AAA Midget Red Sox also hosted a game Sunday.

The surging AAA Midget Muenster Red Sox played host the the Regina Athletics Sunday afternoon, they stayed perfect on the season with a 6-3 win.

The Mosquito Muenster Red Sox were in Saskatoon for their AA tournament, while there they dominated the field en route to the championship. They were undefeated going 5-0 including a 12-0 romp of Fort Saskatchewan in the final.

The Sox will compete in Martensville tournament this weekend.

The AA Bantam Red Sox played a make-up game against the Prince Albert Royals and beat them 10-4 Sunday.

In Marysburg, the Royals hosted the Saskatoon Diggers for a double-header in Saskatoon Senior Baseball League play. It was a good day on their home field as well as they swept the Diggers.

in a 15-5 win in their first game Muenster product Nick Anderson was the winning pitcher. He had plenty of offense behind home runs from Dustin Emberly, Braden Bauml and Dean Jaeb.

In their second game the Royals doubled Saskatoon 8-4. Eric Bollefer collected the win, Bauml hit his second homer of the day, Brent Puetz also went deep for Marysburg.

The Richardson Pioneer Men's Fastball League had two games on their schedule Sunday with three teams hitting the diamond.

The Wynyard Blues doubled Foam Lake 8-4, James Anderson suffered the loss, Michael Jordan was credited with the win. Home runs came courtesy Foam Lake's Ryan Junop and Graham Farrell, the Blues' Taylor Jordan slugged a grand slam to help in the win.

The Merchants rebounded in their second tilt of the day, they clubbed out a 25-9 victory.
