Walking out to your car and seeing a parking ticket is never a pleasant experience, but the City of Humboldt is turning it into a positive experience this month.

The City is starting their 'Toys For Tickets' Campaign for the third year to raise money for families in the city.

Since its implementation, the campaign has been making less money, but that isn't slowing them down as Director of Communications for the City Jennifer Brooks explains.

"I think people were on their best behaviour last year, however we are asking folks to certainly feel a little better that their payment is going to a good cause. As well, we are also accepting cash donations at the City of Humboldt."

Partners Family Services will receive and handle the funds raised from the Campaign this year.

Since its implementation, the program has raised more than $800.
