Warren Campbell Robson
August 20, 1923 - March 2, 2017

Mr. Warren Campbell Robson of Jansen, SK, passed away at Lanigan Integrated Hospital, Lanigan, SK, on Thursday, March 2, 2017.  He was 93 years of age.  Warren was born on August 20, 1923, to Sam and Catherine (nee Campbell) Robson on their homestead farm south of Jansen, where he was also raised.  He attended Haliburton School for six years, then worked with his dad and other farmers.  Several winters were spent in the bush camps of northern Ontario.  On June 4, 1948, Warren married Elsie Koshinsky.  They lived in a small house on the NW34-31-20 W2nd.  In 1951, Warren and Elsie purchased the Mark Robson farm, SW34-31-20 W2nd, where they raised three boys, Ron, Stan and Dave.  Warren was a member of the Alkali Savages Hockey Team and enjoyed many hours of hockey on Uncle Bill's outdoor skating rink.  He was also a long-time member of the Haliburton Community Club and enjoyed good times at the Haliburton picnics.  Warren loved his farming days.  Many hours of field work were spent on his Deutz tractor, and his Gleaner combines were always ready to go.  Even at the age of 92, Warren still went out to the farm and could be seen sitting on a five-gallon pail in front of the shop.  Friends and family were always welcomed at their home with good times and lots of food.  A game of cards, ball, and stories shared made many memories.  Warren's life was blessed with many relatives and friends who came to know him and called him "Pops". Warren leaves to mourn his wife of 68 years, Elsie (nee Koshinsky) Robson; their three sons:  Ron (Carol) Robson, Stan Robson, and Dave (Gwen) Robson; four grandchildren:  Craig (Mary), Jason (Cori), Allison (Shawn), and Darryl (Danielle); great-grandchildren:  Michel, Chandler (James), Cade, Kaylin, Mesa, Ava, Keaton, and Andrew; and by a special nephew who became part of the family, Dwayne (Val) Koshinsky and their family, Kelly, Beth (Clark), and Emily.  He was predeceased by his father, Sam Robson; mother, Catherine (nee Campbell) Robson; and by two sisters:  Ruby (Bert) Wells, and Delle (Monty) Murray.  The Graveside Funeral Service was held at Jansen Public Cemetery, Jansen, on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Jack Robson (Deacon).  Pallbearers were Dean Schroeder, Dale Schroeder, Dwayne Koshinsky, Terry Koschinsky, Ken Ewen, Leon Doidge, and Wilburn Krieger.  The memorial table attendants were Doreen Krieger and Gail Schroeder.  Memorial donations may be directed to the Jansen Public Cemetery Fund.
