Esther Klatt
February 1, 1927 - February 11, 2016

It is with great sadness the family of Esther Lydia Klatt 89 years old of Lanigan peacefully past away on February 11, 2016.  Esther was born on February 1st 1927 to Theodore and Lydia (nee Teske) Eichorst in Rush Lake, SK.  Being the oldest in the family Esther helped with her younger siblings and the farm.  Esther married the love of her life Werner Klatt in 1948.  Together they worked hard and established a farm of their own.  Werner passed away in 1981.  Esther had a love for life and showed that in many ways. She loved to bake, cook, garden, and crochet.  Being with her grand kids was her number one love and priority in life.  She loved teaching them many things that they will always cherish.  Esther will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her three children, seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren: Daughter Darlene(Ted) Smith of Lanigan and family Karen Smith (Lance McCutcheon) of Loreburn and her children Jordan Siewert and Abriel Siewert; Paul (Marjorie) Smith of Saskatoon and their children Emily and Isabel; Son  Harvey (Kathy) Klatt of Humboldt and family Amber Klatt of Phoenix, AZ;  Alia (John) Springer of Fort Wayne, ID;  Bree (Ryan) of Eugene, OR and their children Ryder and Axle;  and Son George Klatt of Calgary and family Jeremiah and Scott; Sisters Dorothy Brenner of Saskatoon and Margaret (William) Richels of Leroy.  Esther was pre deceased by her parents Theodore and Lydia Eichorst; two brothers: Wilfred (Barbara) Eichorst and Elmer Eichorst; one sister Shirley (Phillip) Turner; and brother-in-law Robert Brenner.  A private graveside funeral will be held at Esk Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.  Memorial donations in Esther's memory may be directed to Children's Hospital Foundation (Saskatoon).
