Lois Kathleen Rowe (Davis)
January 19, 1933 – November 10, 2017 

Lois Kathleen (Davis) Rowe died peacefully at the age of 84 in Humboldt, Saskatchewan on November 10th, 2017. Lois was born in Naicam, Saskatchewan on January 19th, 1933 to parents Ace and Emma (nee Sherven) Davis. She grew up on the family farm in Naicam until the family moved to Leroy, SK in 1943. After completing high school in Leroy, she moved with her family to Stouffville, ON in 1950. She attended the Dominion Business College in Toronto and then worked as a secretary for 2 years. In 1953, Lois entered the nursing program at the University Hospital in Edmonton, AB. She completed her nursing program in 1955, and later obtained her Diploma in Public Health from the University of British Columbia in 1969. Lois’ career in nursing took her to various locations throughout Canada and the United States. She was a pioneer in progressive health care and she worked in psychiatry, public health and geriatric care. While working in B.C., Lois met Al Rowe. Lois and Al were married on June 27, 1974. They shared many wonderful years together on their acreage in the Okanagan Valley. Al passed away in August 2005. Lois moved to Humboldt, SK in October 2007 where she resided until her passing. Lois will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by: her sister MARGARET Jones, and brother ERIC (Dorothy) Davis; sisters in law Edith Davis and Anna Davis; Step family WAYNE (Del) Rowe; WENDY (Jamie) Mackay, children Christopher and Sheralyn Berry; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Al Rowe, her parents Ace and Emma Davis, brothers Clayton (Clayt), Robert (Bob), John (Jack), Marg’s husband Fred Jones and her partner Gene Rheaume, Bob’s wife Edith Davis, several nephews and one niece. At Lois’ request there will be no memorial service.
