Jerome “Jerry” Doll
August 24, 1929 - November 23, 2015

Born August 24, 1929 to Isidore and Elizabeth Doll at Hodgeville, Saskatchewan, Jerry passed away suddenly on November 23, 2015 at his home in Caleb Village and will be sadly missed.  He was predeceased by his wife, Anita, in 2009 and is survived by his children: son, Jerry Jr. and wife Betty; son, Les and wife Heather and their children, Steven and Claire; son, Greg and wife Ardel and their children, Melissa, Andrew and Kristopher; son, Randy and wife Lynn and their children, Graham, Daniel and Noel; daughter, Lori and husband Glen Graham and their children, Mia and Madison.  Jerry is also survived by his siblings: sister, Florence Seifert; brother, Norbert (Shirley); sister, Berniece Christenson; sister, BettyAnn (Tony Rollheiser); brother, Gary (Carol) and numerous nieces and nephews.  Jerry was raised on a farm near Hodgeville with his six siblings.  As a young man in search of work he left Saskatchewan and worked as far off as BC where he was employed on highway construction (Hope Princeton) for two years and then worked at a copper mine at Copper Mountain, BC.  While there he met and later married Anita Ewen on September 29, 1952.  They returned to Saskatchewan where Jerry worked in building construction.  In 1972, Jerry moved the family to Middle Lake, SK where he farmed until retiring in Middle Lake in 1995.  In his later years, he also provided home care for his wife, Anita, who developed Parkinson’s Disease, until she because a resident of Bethany Pioneer Village.  Jerry spent his remaining retirement years carving, woodworking, gardening, playing bridge and being a Grandpa to seven grandsons and four granddaughters.  His memorial service took place on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at the Middle Lake Multi-Plex.  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Malinoski & Danyluik Funeral Home, Humboldt (306-682-1622).
