Jeanette Bryksa
March 12, 1938 - September 16, 2016

Jeanette was born on March 12, 1938 to Mike and Julia Rokosh. Jeanette was the oldest of three children. She was raised on a farm in the West Bend area where she met Meril. On Sept. 2, 1956 she married the love of her life. They resided in Foam Lake where they started their family and later moving to Lanigan where this became home. Together they raised their six children and became very busy and active in the community. She enjoyed entertaining and preparing big meals for her family and friends. She loved having her family around and seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jeanette was an avid gardener and was especially proud of her lilies and roses. Throughout her life she made many memories with family and friends that she cherished dearly.

Jeanette will be forever missed by her husband of 60 years Meril and children Linus (Cathy) and boys Kyle and Lane; Debbie (Terry) Ivany and girls Meagan (Regan), Heather (Curtis) and Janel (Tristan); Perry (Laura) and boys Skylar (Ciara) and Evan (Kylie); Blaine (Sonja) and children Jesse, Justin and Rebecca; Les (Tracey) and children Ty and Jenna; Trent (Cheryl) and boys Rhett and Emmett; 10 great grandchildren Reid, Rowan, Tori, Sutter Beck; Cailyn, Avery, Grady Bradbury; Hannah, Andrew Kiefer and Aoibhinn Bryksa. She will never be forgotten by her sister Virginia (Lynn) Jeffries, brother in-laws Donald (Eileen) Bryksa, Mike (Gail) Bryksa, Hal Peterson, Rueben Norbeck, sister in-law Jean Bryksa as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jeanette was predeceased by her parents Mike and Julia Rokosh, and brother Melvin (Delores) Rokosh. Meril’s parents John and Ann Bryksa, brothers Walter(Sophie) and Bill, sisters Rose (Lloyd), Marie (Willard), Stina, Pat (Ralph), Ann (Victor), Emily, Adele and nephew Jack Dvernichuk.

An Interment Service at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Lanigan took place on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Jack Robson. A memorial gathering followed at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Lanigan. Donations in Jeanette’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lanigan Hospital (TV room upgrades).
