The death of Irene Schwinghamer of Bruno, SK. occurred on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Humboldt District Hospital.  She was 88 years of age.  Irene was born to Albert and Mary (nee Just) Kramer on March 10 1928 in Bruno where she lived her entire life. In her nearly 89 years, her homes were all within a block of each other.  She attended school in Bruno and graduated from St. Ursula’s Academy. On October 17, 1951 she married Bernie Schwinghamer. Together they raised their two boys, Mark and Tom until Bernie passed away in October 1974. Irene worked as a secretary at Bruno School for several years, but spent the majority of her working years at the Royal Bank. She loved her work because it allowed her to spend time with others. In her retirement years she looked forward to having coffee with her friends every week. She loved to play cards with the Rumoli group and Kaiser at the friendship center. Her boys and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She adored them and was so proud of them. She loved to travel but always looked forward to coming home. Her friends and family were always warmly welcome at her house. Irene loved her family more than anything and they always cherished the time they spent together. She will be greatly missed and will be in our hearts and lives forever.
