Edwin Felix
November 30, 1932 - February 15, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Edwin Felix, 85 years of Bruno, announce his passing on February 15, 2018 at his residence. Edwin was born in Bremen, SK to Anton and Maria (nee Steffens) Felix on November 30, 1932. He grew up on the family farm, located south east of Bruno, SK. Edwin worked at a few places; including the Lumber Yard in Bruno, the General Store in Peterson. Farming was his passion and thoroughly enjoyed the farm life. He loved sports, especially hockey, curling, and baseball. Edwin was a very social person and loved to visit and play cards. He had an amazing sense of humour and accepted life as it came to him.  Edwin never married so he was very close to his family by always being helpful and there for everyone. His door was always open to anyone. Edwin never forgot a birthday; including his siblings, nieces, and nephews. He was a good man and lived his life in “simplicity and faith”. Edwin’s heart of service for others was shown through the care he gave his brothers and sisters. Edwin will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his brothers: Leo (Linda) Felix of Ft. St. John, BC and children Gary, Carmen, Kathy, Mark, and Misty; Alois Felix of Bruno; Bernard (Shelia) Felix of Lumsden and children Sara, Paul, and Joseph; and Viola’s family: Leo Schulte of Bruno and children Bernard, Ann Marie, Mary Lou, and Andrew; and by numerous great nieces and nephews. Edwin was predeceased by his parents Anton and Maria Felix; brothers and sisters: Fr. Al Felix, Anna (Sebastian) Zimmer, Viola Schulte, Alvin Felix, and Marion Felix.  The Prayer Service for Edwin will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. and the Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be held at St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, Bruno, SK, officiated by Fr. Pius Schroh. Interment followed in the St. Bruno RC Cemetery. Memorial Donations in Edwin’s memory may be made to the St. Bruno Roman Catholic Cemetery Fund and St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church Restoration Fund.
