In the evening of Saturday, October 28, 2017 Anna passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with Congestive Heart Failure. She defied all odds and lived longer than doctors expected due to her strength and determination.

Anna will be deeply missed by her husband Roman of 60 years; her 2 sons and 4 grandchildren, Darren (Carolyn) children Evan and Kaitlyn; Richard (Maureen) children Reagan and Brooke; 3 sisters Elizabeth, Eva and Ollie; brother John Prytula and sister-in-law Helen Poncelet. Anna was predeceased by her parents John and Paranka (nee Rybka) Prytula, and 2 brothers Victor and Peter. Anna was born at home in Tway, Saskatchewan in February 1934. She was one of 7 children. Her father passed away when she was young. Anna and her siblings helped her mother and her oldest brother Victor carry on the running of the Tway General Store. Anna worked hard at school and continued her education to become a teacher, graduating from the teachers college in Saskatoon in the early 1950s. She taught grades 1- 12 in a variety of country schools including: Manor Park, Drake Kansis, Golden Acre, Fulda, Kildrum, Madomsley and worked as a substitute teacher in Humboldt. She married Roman Poncelet August 7th, 1957 and began the next phase of her life farming in the Humboldt area. Roman and Anna had 2 sons and enjoyed family life on the farm. Anna grew an enormous amount and variety of vegetables in her huge "kitchen garden". Each year she would blanch, freeze, can or pickle the harvest of the garden. She was a great cook and baker and supplied the family, friends visitors and neighbours with a variety of delicious treats. She loved to visit with friends and play cards especially Kaiser and 7 Up 7 Down. Anna loved music and singing and could often be heard singing her favourite hymns. She like the outdoors and loved eating fresh fish especially if they had caught it them selves! Anna was a tireless worker and taught her children the value of hard work, honesty, integrity and respect. Anna & Roman retired to Saskatoon in 2003 after many years of farming. They then moved to Newmarket, Ontario in 2014. Arrangements entrusted to James Werezak, Park Funeral Home.
