Former Bronco Boris Kofman set to launch pro career in Norway
A former member of the Humboldt Broncos will be continuing his hockey career in Europe. Boris Kofman has signed with Manglerud of Norway’s Division 2 league for the upcoming season, marking the beginning of his pro career. “On behalf of the entire Broncos organization, I want to congratulate Boris on taking this next step,” said Head Coach and GM Brayden Klimosko in a team press release. “It’s not an easy feat to jump right into European pro hockey, and Boris deserves credit for the hard work and leadership he’s shown both on and off the ice.” Kofman spent two seasons in Humboldt. Last year, he had 47 points (11G-36A) in 47 games. An injury prevented him from suiting up for the green and gold in the playoffs. Prior to joining the Broncos, the 2004-born forward spent time with the Toronto Jr. Canadiens of the OJHL (Ontario Junior Hockey League) and played junior hockey in both Russia and Sweden.
