Humboldt Broncos Associate Coach Carter Hansen will be a part of the coaching staff for Canada West at the upcoming World Junior ‘A’ Challenge in Trois-Rivières, Québec. Hansen has been named the Video Coach for the second straight season. Last year, Canada West earned a bronze medal defeating Canada East. Rounding out the coaching staff are assistant coaches Éric Labrosse (Lloydminster, AJHL) and Josh Gratton (Winnipeg Blues, MJHL). “We in the league are very happy for both Trevor Blevins and Carter Hansen,” said SJHL Commissioner Kyle McIntyre in a press release. “They will not only represent the league and their respective franchises very well. Anytime you have the opportunity to represent your country and region, it is a tremendous feather in your cap. Both gentlemen will make it a great experience for the players involved.” The 2025 World Junior ‘A’ Challenge will take place from Dec. 7-13. Canada East and Canada West will face-off in pre-tournament action on Dec. 3. Canada West will also play the United States on Dec. 5 at Aréna de Montmagny in Montmagny, Québec.
