Election day is just three days away and Cathay Wagantall is hoping to gain a seat in Ottawa after October 19th.

The mother of three, and grandmother of nine is the Conservative candidate in the Yorkton-Melville riding.

Wagantall says integrity is key for her.

"That's why I think it's so important to have people involved in our government that not only start with a high level of integrity but maintain it through out that opportunity of serving and that's something for me within the constituency. I want people to know that my intention and desire to represent them very effectively."

Along with her husband, Wagantall resides in Esterhazy where she operates her father's business Positive Signs. She has a Bachelor of Science in Physical of Education and she has worked in hospitals and level 4 care homes during her working years.

Wagantall talked about the issues she is most focused on if elected on Monday.

"Maintaining the trajectory that we have in protecting Canada's economy with the way the Conservatives have through the very difficult time of the previous depression that we were facing not unlike the 1930's. Having balanced our budget and lower taxes and continue to build the economy back up."

She is currently serving her fourth term on the Yorkton-Melville Electoral District Association's Board of Directors.

In 2004 she ran to be the leader of the Edmonton-Strathcona riding where she lost by a mere four votes.
