The Saskatchewan Curling Tour makes a stop in Wadena this weekend at the RE/MAX Blue Chip Realty Tour Spiel. Sixteen teams from across the province will pit into the Wadena RE/MAX Curling Club to face the hottest in men’s curling competition. There will be plenty of local talent as part of the mix.

“We’ve got Dallan Muyres from Humboldt and he’s got Garret Springer from Foam Lake and Dustin Mikush from Wadena,” says Scott Comfort with the Club. “ We’ve got my own team here with Dane Ward, myself and Jordan van der Buhs from Rose Valley. Shawn Joyce’s team has Greg Harcourt from Quill Lake and Richard Choquette from Kelvington.”

The Zurloff rink has players from just down Highway 5 at Canora and Wadena and the Pomedli crew will be hometown heroes from Wadena. All the teams are vying for cash and points as they head toward the ultimate goal - hoisting the provincial tankard and wearing the Green Jackets in the Brier. The road continues in Wadena.

Action gets under way on Friday, December 2 at 11:00 am and wrapping up on the following Sunday with the final at 4:00 pm. Afternoon draws go at 2:15 pm.

If you can’t make it to the arena, the livestream will be available on Youtube and results will be posted at Curlsask.ca
