The SPRA stated the winners were exceptional individuals and community groups that worked hard to provide parks and recreation spaces and opportunities to their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. The winners contributed to mental and physical health, their local and provincial economies, natural and built environments, and helped clothes feel connected to their communities throughout the pandemic.
