Valentine's Day the day where you can eat as much chocolate as you want and no one will judge you.

Well maybe they will, but it is the one day a year where chocolate is always in high demand, next to Christmas of course.

My favorite thing to do on Valentine's day is to eat some delicious homemade cookies, cake, or fudge.

I have a simple recipe that has been handed down from my great-grandma to my grandma to me.

I feel like sharing it with you!

Condensed Fudge

11 oz sweetened condensed milk
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup of milk
3 tbsp hard margarine
2 tbsp light corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla

Combine the first six ingredients into a 3-quart saucepan. Heat on medium/low stirring often as it comes to a boil. Boil and stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Once it has reached a softball stage remove from the heat. Let stand for 40 ish minutes then add the vanilla. Beat with electric beaters or stand mixer until its gets thick. Pour into a greased 9 x 9 pan. Cool then cut into pieces.
This should make around 2lbs of fudge.

Now if you don't get anything for Valentine's day you can treat yourself.
