Lanigan is getting prepared for its annual Celebrate Lanigan days taking place June 23, 24, and 25. It’s a chance to bring people together and have some fun, says Michelle Stevenson, Recreation Director.

“We rebranded this event a few years ago from a Sports Days cause that didn’t necessarily encompass everything that was going on, and it’s just a chance for residents and surrounding communities to come on out and have a little party.”

Things kick off on Friday, June 23, with a Burger BBQ at the Legion Hall alongside some Escape Rooms at the Arena.

“We are running all different events from Local groups in town,” says Stevenson. “Saturday is going to have a parade and a pancake breakfast, slow pitch tournament, car show, a kids carnival, supper, beer gardens, and some entertainment. Soccer tournament, and a talent show.”

With lots to do on Saturday, things don’t slow down on Sunday.

“Sunday we are going to start our day with a church service at the Town Hall. The big event that day is our tractor pulls at the sports grounds along with some sheep-dog trials, Minor ball games, and a flea market.”

With lots happening throughout the weekend, you can view the schedule below to keep on track with all the fun expected.
