The Discover Humboldt online auction is back to save you cash on many great local products and services.

Bidding starts today and you can check out all the great items up for grabs here! 

Here are a few tips to help you along the way.

  • Registration is super simple. You'll find the "register" link at the top right-hand corner of the main auction page, or you can click here. Fill out the form and you're ready to roll.
     
  • The auction uses proxy bidding. This allows you to bid the maximum you are willing to pay for an item, and the system will automatically bid for you until the dollar value is reached. Remember that you will not necessarily pay your maximum bid. Think of it like this. Proxy bidding places bids on your behalf at the lowest possible increments. Simply enter your maximum bid (the highest amount you are willing to pay). The goal of proxy bidding is for you to win the auction at the lowest possible price. Therefore, the current bid will equal the former bid plus the bid increment.
     
  • All the items will close throughout the day on Wednesday, February 21st. If you are following an item, make note of the time it closes. You can do that by using the sort function in the top right-hand corner of the auction page. Sort by either "lot number" or "ending soon" which will display the order of items closing. It'll happen quickly with a new item closing every minute.
     
  • There are many pages of items so you're sure to find something you like. You can use the categories list on the right-hand side of the page to quickly find food items, health and beauty products, entertainment offers, and lots more.
