Well hockey season is officially over in Humboldt, the Broncos held their spring camp this past weekend at the Elgar Petersen Arena.

I was approached by General Manager Darcy Haugan to be a "celebrity" coach for one of the squads for the top-40 game that closed the camp on Sunday afternoon. My opponent was none other than my most consistent colour commentator Dan Torwalt.

All in fun Dan laid out a bet, the losing 'coach" would have to wear a jersey from the others favourite team, well my team picked up a big 5-3 win!

So Dan being the good sport he is donned a Carey Price jersey for the day at his office, must I say he has never looked sharper. Had my team not picked up the win I would have had to suffer through a day in a Boston Bruins jersey!

In all honesty I really did nothing, the lines rolled themselves and the kids played their best hoping to catch the eyes of either Darcy, Brayden Klimosko or the Broncos scouting staff led by Associate GM Jason Neville and Head Scout Luke Strueby.

I did give it to young Seth Schuler a little bit later in the contest when the officials were trying to help Dan out but that's no different than when the games are on the radio and the stripes aren't seeing it like I do!

It was a lot of fun, the camp was successful and I made a life long Boston fan wear the bleu, blanc et rouge!
