Humboldt's Summer Sizzler is just around the corner, this year bringing in some new talents, such as Global FMX Motocross.

The motocross show, set to take place Friday, June 17, at 4:00, 6:00, and 8:00 pm, will feature riders performing spectacular flips, tricks and much more.

Kris Garwasiuk, co-owner of Global FMX, explained what audience members will see while viewing the show.

“Dirt bikes flying 75 feet through the air and doing some massive tricks, backflips, all the latest stunts in the sport of freestyle motocross. It’s really one of those things you have to see to appreciate. We’re looking forward to coming to Humboldt and putting on a show for everyone.”

Audience members can expect to see some death-defying stunts, such as a trick called 'the cliffhanger', a trick in which the rider puts their feet underneath the handlebars of the bike, and stand up straight while mid-air, and backflips.

Garwasiuk is the first Canadian to turn pro in the sport of freestyle motocross and has brought that with him while starting Global FMX. The group has performed in places such as Las Vegas, Shanghai China, and many more places worldwide.

Garwasiuk explained how Motocross is thrilling but can also be calming.

“Motocross is such a great sport, it’s definitely one of those things when you get on a motorcycle, it clears your mind. Any problem of the day seems to evaporate and disappear.”

The Global FMX team stated they are very excited to come to Humboldt and perform.

“It’s a really fun, family friendly atmosphere that we like to promote at Global FMX. It’s what we are known for, it's super interactive with the crowd, so we expect everyone to come on out and have some fun with us, cheer us on, and see the international athletes we will be bringing into town.”

The show is free for everyone to watch, with a pit party happening between shows. The Sizzler will be a great time for all, with many more events coming to town.
